GlassesOff is a product that has been proven to gradually improve the vision of those who suffer from farsightedness (hyperopia) as they grow older.
The app itself comprises of game-like challenges and these include intense visual stimulation tasks that includes evaluations of reading abilities. Each session lasts approximately 12 minutes and the sessions are repeated 3 times a week for a period of 3 months. Ongoing care is required to maintain the progress achieved in the challenges and users will be prompted by the app to work on the challenges according to their reading abilities.
These are the results that the app was able to produce when a research was conducted with a group of participants:
- Increase in reading function where users are be able to read smaller fonts than the ones found on newspapers.
- 90% of participants are now able to read longer hours without experiencing dizziness or headaches.
- Reading speed also saw an increase.
- Reduced ageing of eyes. The average reduction in age for each person worked out to 8.6 years.
The system constantly adjusts according to the user’s progress and at the end of the 10-15 hour, Pro-Improvement Program, users are said to achieve image-processing capabilities that do not require reading glasses or other magnifying devices.
