Looks like Google has a lot planned for its developer conference next week. One of the new information that has surfaced is a new service called Google Fit.

According to a report from Forbes, the new service will aggregate health data from other fitness trackers and apps. Google will get this data through open APIs and is even set to announce new partnerships with device manufacturers at the conference. Data such as steps taken, heart rate and temperature can be measured by different devices and then sent to Fit to be presented to the user. This is similar to the previous attempt by the company with its Google Health service.

This new service is right on time with the explosion of wearables and fitness trackers that are available now. Samsung is doing the same with its S Health app and the Samsung Architecture Multimodal Interactions (S.A.M.I.) and now Apple is in the game as well with its HealthKit.

This Google Fit service should tie in nicely with Android Wear and the LG G Watch that will be unveiled at the Google I/O event.
